Back to 2003...
This blog post is for my University class mainly to snoop at part of a forum piece, but just incase my usual blog readers have never seen the following.
Hope you enjoy!
Back in 2003, Vogue Espana worked with Eugenio Recuenco to create a fairy tale spread. Now, most of us have heard of the tales such as: ‘Cinderella’, ‘The Princess and The Pea’, ‘Piped Piper’, ‘Puss in Boots’, ‘Little Red Riding Hood’, 'Sleeping Beauty' and ‘Snow White’, and this is how he re-created those magical stories using fashion photogrpahy:

Sunday: The Plan!
My favourite day of the week is finally here... SUNDAY! A day off work and University is always a good day! Apologies for not blogging in the last couple of days, I have been super duper busy that it is unreal!!!
On Friday I went to see 'Gnomeo & Juliet' with Ewan. It was... okay. I really want to see 'Never Let Me Go' though, so hopefully we will get a chance to see it before it disappears from screens. Next Wednesday I am meeting with a few girls from work for a nice lunch and just to hang out. Later that night I am going to the cinema AGAIN to see 'Paul'... AGAIN!!!! IT... WAS... AMAZING!!! I don't think I have ever laughed so hard in the cinema.
Whilst in town on Friday I bought a few bits and bobs from Primark and a couple of new books. I am thinking of doing another mini shopping haul video for my blog and youtube channel later on.
This is what I am planning for today:

This is what I am planning for today:
Drink too much tea (like usual).
Read some more of my new book.
Watch more Buffy The Vampire Slayer (The fashion is hilarious).
Do some Uni work... Grrrrrrrrrr!
I was meant to go visit my friend Nat today but had to cancel because I really want to do a lot of Uni work today. I went to college with Nat and I really miss her! We do try and meet up for lunch or dinner sometimes which is so much fun. I guess I just miss seeing her 4 days a week.
Anyway, I really need to catch up on my favourite blogs!
I shall probably do another post later!
Happy Blogging!

Going to Paris!
In just over three weeks, I step on a plane (with about 50 other students) to fly to Paris! It has been my dream for so long to go there, so hopefully it is everything I have hoped for and that I fall in love with the place and never want to leave!
I am gutting my wardrobe at the moment to make things a little easier for when I move in the Summer and I want to take so many things with me to Paris. We are only going for 4 days!!!
By using Polyvore, I have created a 'set' which shows the kind of style I want to achieve when I am out there. Brogues + Satchel + Cardigan + Pearls...
And here it is:
I think it is perfect for Spring time in Paris! Light, vintage and sweet! I need to buy a hat though. The one in the 'set' would be ideal, but I actually struggle to find one that fits my head right. I always think it looks slightly perched on top rather than actually wearing it!!
I think New Look/ River Island/ TOPSHOP might have some...
Are you going anywhere nice this Spring/Summer?
Happy Blogging!

Tomorrow's Inspiration!
I have been feeling a little down about my weight and about my clothes. Nothing seems to be quite right in my wardrobe. When I feel down I skim through images online to give me inspiration for an outfit and then I normally gain a bit of confidence if I look good! So, here is some inspiring photos:

Birthday Cake
As some of you may or may not know. last week was my boyfriends 26th birthday and this weekend we celebrated it by drinking our body mass in vodka and cranberry juice from huge pitchers and I made an amazing birthday cake! The recipe is from The Hummingbird Bakery cookbook which I worship. It's name is 'Brooklyn Blackout'. A three layered chocolate cake with a chilled chocolate custard as the filling and the frosting. We decided to just to make it a double layer and OH MY GOD is it good!
(there will be photos uploaded later of the cake. I am actually writing this from my new mobile! How awesome!)
We went out for a fancy luchtime meal withh his parents today at out nearest and favourite restaurant Nargile's. it is a turkish restaurant and the food there is like taking little bites of heaven! yumyumyum!
We are heading out to the chinese restaurant in a bit (hopefully it is still open) to see what yummy yet weird goods they have. I think the desire has come from the homemade chicken ramen I made last night for tea. God it was tasty!!
Do you enjoy foreign food? Have you ever attempted to make something strange for dinner? I would love to hear!

Style Stalker: Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girl
Gossip Girl is one of my favourite American TV shows! The story lines are out of control but I love them! The fashion is fresh off the hanger and it always looks amazing!
Never will you see the girls and guys wear the same outfit twice. It always looks like they have an unlimited bank balance. I would KILL for something like that! Although, my house would be a bit too full with too many clothes, shoes, handbags and accessories!
Blair Waldorf is a very powerful character with a very powerful style statement! Audrey Hepburn is channeled one way or another into her outfits through the simple elegance that beams out. When I watch a new episode I feel inspired to dress a bit more grown up and I want to skip about in some amazing heels with my designer handbag swinging from my elbow! A girl can dream I guess!
Here are some photos of Blair Waldorf's style from Gossip Girl which I want to channel a bit more in my wardrobe:
I just think she is stunningly beautiful and stylish!
What do you think of Blair Waldorf's style?
Happy Birthday!

Philip Treacy for McQueen
I am back at University now, and in my previous post I mentioned that I get to create a capsule collection as if I were taking over the House of McQueen!
I have been in university every day this week working so hard, hence the massive lack of blogging. So, I do apologise!
One designer that I feature in my research for this project is the amazingly talented Philip Treacy, who designed hats alongside McQueen for some of his catwalk ensembles. Lady Gaga is a huge fan of his work and often has one of his amazingly weird but wonderful pieces perched on her head. Here are some of his pieces for McQueen:
These hats are structured so beautiful! I think that if the hats were removed from the piece then it wouldn't have the same effect!
Like I said up top, Lady Gaga wears his pieces too! I do have images to upload for this part but blogger is saying I need to purchase more space!!!!! WHAT????? So so so annoying!
It is my boyfriends birthday today, we are going out tonight but not to celebrate his birthday. We are celebrating a friends birthday tonight and we are celebrating his next friday! So confusing!
I must nip to the shop to get some food!
Happy Blogging!

McQueen for a day!
If you follow me on Twitter, then you might know that I have started my fashion and textiles section of my course this week. I am so excited because we get to create a capsule collection as if we worked with McQueen! We get to research EVERYTHING on the House of McQueen and we get to design ten whole outfits (including all kinds of accessories). I love doing things like this because it was actually at the top of my wish list to work within the House of McQueen, even if it is making cups of tea for the guy who makes cups of coffee!!
If you follow the collections that the House produces, then you know how stunning and how detailed they can be! I am in love with the last two Spring/Summer collections! I have printed off about a million photographs for my sketch book.
We were given three swatches of fabric and that is our main colour scheme... red, cream and camouflage! It is going to be interesting to see what I come up with in two days! SO EXCITED!
Apologies for the lateness of this blog post and the lack of posts over the last few days. I am back at Uni now and I have been so tired that whilst I was at work tonight I was just staring at boxes of stock, that needed to be racked away, without realising!
I really should catch some ZZZZZZZZZs...
Happy Blogging!

Sunday Shenanigans!
Today... is SUNDAY. I don't work Sunday's and I have zilch amount of Uni work to do. So... what am I going to do today? Well, I think something like this:
I think Sunday is the best day of the week to have off from the world. I love cleaning my flat and doing absolutely nothing! I think I might be going to the cinema later, might even go out for dinner with my man. We have already seen three films in the last like two weeks! 'Black Swan', 'The Green Hornet' and 'Tangled'. 'Tangled' was AMAZING!!! I cried! It is beautiful and the songs are so fun! It is a great film to see.
I will be doing another two posts (hopefully) today. An OOTD post and a 'What's in my bag?' video post. I filmed it yesterday but I think I might re-film it because it was too long and I still am a bit rubbish at cropping films.
What are YOUR Sunday plans?
Happy Blogging!
