Sunday Shenanigans!

Bonjour!!
Yesterday I went to THAINSTONE market!  It wasn't as magical as I hyped it to be! There were hundreds of stalls... HUNDREDS! Plus, there must of been THOUSAND people there hunting for a bargin.  I dd buy a couple of things though:

  • I managed to find a beautiful picture frame (I left it in my boyfriends car, so I will take photos later) and I got it for £2.  It is painted gold it kinda reminds me of Marie Antoinette!!
  • I am a 'Mighty Boosh' fan and I managed to find a limited addition of their recent tour which comes with a 'Top Trumps' card set that has drawings of all the characters from the show on it.  Can't wait to play it!! I got that for £3 and I am sure when it came out it was nearer £30!!

  • I got two little bundles of fabric for 50p each.  They are really pretty, but like most of my fabric... I have no idea what to make with it!

Now, I did take a photo of something that was AWESOME and yummy!!

These a little fried doughnuts! You could choose to have them rolled in sugar, but I asked for CINNAMON and sugar. I wish I bought two bags... but that is bad!!!

What is even worse though is... I was SUNBURNT!! :(  It was really REALLY hot weather and I felt hot, but not I didn't feel burnt.  Then we went to visit a friend in Kintore (about 9 miles away) and when I went to the bathroom I seen my reflection in the mirror! Half of my chest on the left and all the way round the back of my neck was burnt! Bright red! The thing that was quite funny was where my necklace sat.  I have a bit of flesh that wasn't burnt between all the redness that wasn't burnt, it is like 2 inches wide! So, I am stripey!

I am planning on making a few crafty things and opening an Etsy shop. I have heaps of ideas, I just need to you know... do them! I am thinking some pin cushions to begin with and then move on to something a bit more mind bending. I shall keep you posted on that!
Anyway, I must get started on my day off. I have rubbed after sun into my lobster like flesh and now I think I might jump into the shower.  I am planning on having a good search on eBay for some cool stuff! Maybe some vintage handbags!

Enjoy your Monday!!

Money money money!

Hello there!!!

Today I managed to survive my dreaded TEN HOUR SHIFT! Now, I know normally ten hours to some people is nothing, but seriously, today was mental!  There was a visitor coming to the store who pretty much runs the company, so the managers were running around like headless chickens and we were doing their dirty jobs or them.  I shouldn't really complain, it is quite good money for a student and there is people out there looking for jobs, so I am grateful.  I guess everyone feels the stress in their job even if it is from time to time. I just keep reminding myself 'Think of the money!'.  It is payday a week tomorrow, and I can't wait!  It means I don't have to keep checking my bank balance every two minutes (well, for a week at least! money never lasts long in my account!).

So... how has everyone's day gone?  Successful? or Stressful?

I am sooooooo excited for Sunday! I get to wake up early (that's not the exciting big. Don't worry, I haven't lost the plot) and head to the big market.  I get to spend time with my wonderful boyfriend and then we might even get a chance to have a Sunday roast (I am thinking beef...).

Anyway, this is just a quick message as I need an early night because I am working early tomorrow!

Night night bloggers!

Hopes!

Hello there lovelies!

In a previous post, I mentioned how I managed to talk to my manager about changing departments and whilst we were agreeing my new shifts, I managed to get Sundays off! Well... this Sunday coming is my first Sunday off!!!!! Yes! I have worked every Saturday and Sunday for the past 2 and a half years (except for the odd one here and there), and I cannot wait!! My boyfriend and I (plus his flatmate) are heading to Thainstone Market!!! It is a MASSIVE carboot sale! I am hoping to get my hands on some gems.  But, everyone has warned us 'The early bird...(you know the rest)'  So here are some things that I am hoping to grab!

(Vintage style photo frames)

(Interesting china tea set)

(Maybe even some interesting Junk!)

Anyway, these are some of the things I shall be raking for this Sunday. As for now, I am heading to bed before I get to tired and I am exhausted for my 10 hour shift tomorrow at work!

Happy Blogging!!

Frustrated!

Good evening readers!

I hope that the weather with you is as beautiful as the weather that has been with me today. It is STUNNING!!!! That is the only word to describe it! It is like 20-23 degrees and the sun is beaming down! I love this kind of weather, it makes me sooooo happy! I love the small of the air (does that make me sound weird?) and all the colours that you hadn't noticed before! (I live in ABERDEEN, the only noticeable colours are grey and grey. All the buildings are made of granite! But, in the right light, it does look silver!)

I am happily just sitting here with a Cherry beer, that's right... CHERRY!!!

Plus, a Curlywurly (a small gift from my boyfriend's flatmate), totally relaxing! I have my girls withme too! Rihanna, Lady Gaga and Lily Allen. A random bunch, but thats just me!!
The reason for the title of this blog 'Frustrated' is:

I cannot for the sake of me find my camera battery charger, so I have to make do with either my old camera, my rubbish Blackberry camera or borrow my boyfriends monster of a camera!

I have to work heaps and heaps this summer to keep up with my rent and my shopping habit! But, that has NOT stopped me! Today I went shopping! :D (photos ARE coming! I promise! In fact, they they are at the end of this post!)

ANYWAY!!!!! How is every one's summer going for them so far? Mine seems to be moving along swimmingly!

I am not the proud owner of a DIPLOMA! So, I am feeling very proud of myself! I do tend to 'treat' my self a bit more now though, it's my way of 'CELEBRATING' lol.

One of the treats that I was aiming to get for myself was a fancy new lipstick, but whilst roaming the make-up section in Boots, I stumbled across the Benefit stand. I never really ask for help, but I decided to go for it. Whilst talking to the lovely girl that works for Benefit, I started talking about how I have NEVER EVER worn foundation. Now, I know that some girls think this must be seen as some kind of 'SIN', but I have never seen the need to wear it. I think that the girls who walk round with the orange or brown faces when the rest of them are white, looks a little silly and I always thought I would never end up like that.
ANYWAY, the girl sat me down and just talked me through what they do, and she asked if it was OK to apply some stuff to try and help me realise why some girls wear foundation and concealer and blah blah blah. After she applied the make up to half of my face she showed me what I looked like in the mirror and to my shock... I LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She made me feel more pretty, more confident and much more girly. I don't have a problem with spots (thankfully) but whenever I get a bit stressed or I have been working a lot I do tend to get a few on my chin and around my temples. But, she has shown me a way to hide this. My boyfriend says I don't need it, but he says as long as I am Happy, then he is happy too. THIS IS WHAT I BOUGHT FROM BENEFIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(This is the foundation from BENEFIT. It is like a fake foundation, so it is light and it blends your skin tones so it matched PERFECTLY!)

(This has an AMAZING name! BOI-ING!!! This is an antiseptic concealer! So, when you hide yours spots with it... it helps heal them! AMAZING!)

(This is a highlighting liquid. You simply just blob a few dots around your eyes to brighten them up and rub it in. You apply this after the foundation)

(I luckily go this for FREE!!! When you spend over £45 you get this gift! It is meant to be rubbed in with your foundation when you are tanned, so you don't have to find another colour. I do not use fake tan or sun beds, so the girl at BENEFIT said just to use it as a bronzer! COOL!)

(This is such a cute dress from PRIMARK £6)

(This vintage feeling dress if from PRIMARK £7.50)

That's all for now, I hopefully will be able to update more on a regular basis, so I will try not to disappoint!

Happy Blogging!

All work and no play, makes Georgie a rich girl!

I have officially finished college FOREVER!!!! I am a bit sad it's over, but I am glad also. I won't have to wake up early (unless I choose to do an early shift at work), and for the summer, I can plan things!!!!

One of the first things I have to do first before planning any special occasions, is work a lot! Whilst at college I only worked 3 days a week. I have finally plucked up the courage to ask my manager to move me to another department, because my department is the busiest and the most stressful, and I needed a change. Unfortunately my new hours are only 5 hour shifts, so I have to pick up overtime BUT I know have Sundays off!!!!!!! YEY!!!! I love Sundays the most! I truly do! I love going to the garden center and I love Sunday roasts that actually happen on a Sunday! PLUS, my boyfriend works like 1 Sunday out of 5 so it means we get to PLAN things!

Anyway, I thought I would leave a quick update before I toddle off to work. This is my last weekend on the horrible department before heading to a much relaxed environment! YEY!!!

I shall update a bit more at a later day! Love Georgie

Coming to an end!

Hello followers!

It is safe to say that I do not have long left at all at college. I only have about a week an a half left! Scary stuff! I start at the art school in September, and let me tell you... I am very very excited!! Most people probably hate moving around schools, because it means starting fresh. I actually enjoy it. When I was young my family moved around a lot. My older sister always found it hard to make new friends, but as for me, I found it somewhat easy. I sit, I listen to tales being told from new faces and I like to work out what that person is interested in so I can try and connect with them in some way. So, hopefully I can use this little thing I have to make some new friends at University, but don't worry, I will hold on to the old ones too!
When the new term starts I cannot wait to nip to Paperchase and buy heaps and heaps of cool stationary stuff to help with my 'studies'.

I am trying to lose a bit of weight. I dress to suit my shape, I try not to wear clingy clothing that might emphasize my belly. I am happy with my life and everything an everyone that is in it, it's just that every now and then I get a little low about my belly and then what happens? I want CHOCOLATE! It's a curse!

What I REALLY want is to go on a proper holiday with my boyfriend. We were going to try and go to Prague this year, but I just cannot afford it. I use my savings for emergencies. Like, paying for rent or bills. So, I am scared of touching it, just in case I need it for something.
I am really tempted to use my savings to buy an amazing Designer handbag in the Cruise SALE. Cruise is a store in Aberdeen, that sells designer goods. They often have a sale on, sometimes up to 75% off!!!! So, I guess you can understand my temptation!

I went to Yo! Sushi the other week with my boyfriend for the first time. I liked it, but I was too scared to actually TRY sushi! I just had cooked meat stuff, like chicken! I want to go back though. I just loved the atmosphere there! I took a couple of cool photos, but unfortunately, I cannot find the cable to attach my camera to my laptop to move them. So, as soon as I find it, I shall update photos!!

I really want to go on a massive shopping spree. I haven't had one in AGES! I have been working so much, and it just seems that I can't treat myself because I must SAVE SAVE SAVE!!! Anyway, must dash. I have work that needs to be done. And it will certainly NOT do itself!

Happy blogging!!! xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
